Core Values Refreshing Community We desire to be refreshing followers of Jesus Christ: caring, loving, inclusive and generous. We want to be connected with each other through grace-filled relationships. Refreshing attitudes are positive and affirming, replacing gossip and critical negativity with blessing. We want to empower, build up, and refresh one another as we strive to be more like Christ on both an individual and corporate level. Ethnic Diversity We desire to be a diverse people who reflect the creativity of God in our ethnic makeup. We encourage this diversity, as it creates an environment in which we can more fully know and worship our Creator. We want to value each other’s uniqueness and learn from one another, seeking to build cross-cultural relationships, eliminate prejudice, and choose leaders that mirror our ethnic composition. Servanthood We desire to be servants in attitude and action. There are many responsibilities and roles within the church and each of us has a place where we fit best. We are called to be generous in giving and serving so we strive to equip each person in an area of service to enhance ministry. By functioning as a team we can freely and joyfully serve the Lord together with our gifts and passions. Reaching out with Hope We desire to be outward-focused, reaching our communities with the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through personal sharing and community services, we want to see the gospel touch individuals in our own sphere of influence. We also want to cultivate a global perspective by giving to missions, engaging in overseas partnerships, and sending our members out as missionaries. Life Transformation We desire to be more fully committed followers of Christ, yielding to His will and purposes. Life transformation integrates all aspects of our daily lives - such as finances, marriage, parenting, employment/business - under the Lordship of Christ. This powerful change takes place as we worship and renew our minds with God’s truth, the Bible, and as we become doers of the Word, and not hearers only. |
